James is an Environmental Professional and Climate Advocate with academic and practical experience in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, and Ecosystem Restoration. He currently serves as an Assistant Programme Officer at Environmental Protection Authority Ghana, where he supports environmental management initiatives, sustainability programs, and policy implementation aimed at promoting environmental protection and community resilience in Ghana. James Nyantakyi is also an active member of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) Youth Caucus under the UNCCD CSO Africa platform, representing GDA, contributing to youth engagement and advocacy on land restoration, climate action, and sustainable development across Africa. He is also the Technical Advisor of Green Diversity Africa.

Academically, James Nyantakyi holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering Management from University of Energy and Natural Resources and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the same institution. With a strong passion for environmental sustainability, watershed restoration, climate resilience, and community-based environmental solutions, he is dedicated to advancing innovative approaches that promote ecological conservation and sustainable development.
