Holds MSc in Environmental Science, Policy and Management from KNUST-Institute of Local Government Studies and a Graduate Diploma Certificate in Urban Planning, Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management from KNUST-Africa Institute of Sanitation and Waste Management. He also has a certificate in Hazardous Waste Management from Centre for Science and Environment, Rajasthan, India.

He work with Environmental Protection Agency as a Senior Programme Officer with over ten years experience in Environmental Conservation, Environmental Sanitation and secondary waste recovery and management with specialization in Hazardous and E-Waste management. He is part of the Technical Working Team on the implementation of Environmentally Sound E-Waste Management in Ghana Programme Financed by German Development Corporation implemented by GIZ and part of the team on the implementation of the Africa Environmental Health Pollution and Management Programme funded by the World Bank.

Hobson is one of the co-founders of Green Diversity Foundation (GDf Africa) and CEO of Enviroparks Ltd and Envirowaste Recyclers Ltd.
